San Antonio Independent School District Protects Students and Staff with CrisisAlert™
(Atlanta) September 1, 2020 – CENTEGIX™, an IoT company that innovates technology to save and enrich lives, announces its expanded presence in Texas. The San Antonio Independent School District (ISD) has selected CENTEGIX’s award-winning CrisisAlert™ platform to increase safety and security.
“Our goal is to empower teachers to get help quickly and easily in any type of incident,” said Dr. Ken Thompson, Chief Information Officer of San Antonio ISD. “CrisisAlert enables teachers to focus on the learning environment and gives them the confidence to respond in any situation,” said Thompson.
CENTEGIX is building its partner network in Texas and looks forward to bringing CrisisAlert to more school districts across the state. Via its partner network, CENTEGIX’s CrisisAlert solution is now available through the Department of Information Resources (DIR), which facilitates the purchasing process for school districts.
“We have found the CrisisAlert platform to be a campus safety game-changer in the new world we are living in,” said Jim Stofer, President and CEO of JS&A, a CENTEGIX partner. “The technology and capabilities it provides cannot be matched and we feel this technology is a must-have for any school or district. We are excited to be a partner and provide this life-saving system to Texans across the state,” said Stofer.
Additionally, the CrisisAlert™ platform qualifies for funding available through the Texas Senate Bill 11, which allows the Texas Education Agency to administer school safety grants totaling $100 million.
“Texas is a leader in school safety and security and SB11 is a valuable resource for Texas schools to increase safety for their staff and students,” said Matthew Stevens, CEO of CENTEGIX. “CENTEGIX provides the best solution in crisis management to keep our communities and people safe and we are proud of our expansion into the state of Texas,” said Stevens.
